Want a Remake PRADA Bowler Bag? The Official Flagship Store is Where to Look

So, I started on this little project the other day, something I’ve been itching to do for a while. I decided to try and remake a Prada Bowler Bag. Yeah, you heard that right! I remembered these bags were all the rage back in the early 2000s, a total blast from the past. I was browsing online, just window shopping, you know, and I stumbled upon some pictures of the original Prada Bowler. Man, the nostalgia hit me hard!

I did some digging around to see if I could snag an original one. I found them on some resale sites, but the prices, oh boy, they were a bit steep. Then, I found out that Prada actually re-released these bags recently! I checked out their official flagship store online, and there it was, shiny and new. But that price tag was still pretty hefty. I found it on MyTheresa.

That’s when it hit me – why not try to remake one myself? A fun little DIY project. So, I rolled up my sleeves and got to work. I gathered some materials I had around the house, some old fabric and whatnot, and started sketching out a plan. I’m no professional, mind you, but I was determined to give it my best shot.

It was a lot of trial and error, I won’t lie. I spent hours cutting, sewing, and re-sewing. There were times when I almost threw in the towel. The handles were particularly tricky, I tried using some old leather straps and tried to adjust it with a buckle, but I think I got them sort of right in the end. I used this old zipper I found in my sewing kit, and I even managed to add a little inside pocket for my phone and keys, with silver-tone hardware, I guess it’s kinda Ivory calf leather?

After a few days of work, my DIY Prada Bowler Bag was finally finished! It’s not an exact replica, of course. It’s got some imperfections, some rough edges here and there, but you know what? I love it. It’s got character, and it’s a reminder that sometimes, you can create something pretty cool with your own two hands.

I took it out for a spin the other day, and I got a few compliments! It felt good to rock something I made myself. Plus, I saved a ton of money, which is always a bonus.
