Alright, so I’ve been eyein’ this watch for a while now, this, uh, CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, yeah. I finally decided, “What the heck, let’s do it.” So I started lookin’ around, where to get one, you know?
I did some diggin’ online, and it seems like the best place to snag one of these beauties is at one of those fancy specialty stores. I heard that they got the best selection, and you can actually see the watch in person before you buy it. Plus, I really wanted to see that open case back. It’s like, you can see all the little gears and stuff movin’ around, pretty neat, I gotta say.
So I went to the closest Official Flagship Store. It wasn’t too far, just a bit of a drive. When I got there, I was like a kid in a candy store. They had all sorts of watches, but I went straight for the Speedmasters. And there it was, the Moonwatch, lookin’ all shiny and new. I asked one of the folks there if I could see it, and they were real nice about it, took it out of the case and everything.
I gotta tell ya, holdin’ that watch in my hand, it felt good. It’s got some weight to it, but not too much, just right. And the size, it’s 42mm, but the bezel’s a bit smaller, like just under 40mm, so it fits real nice on the wrist. I tried it on, and it was like it was made for me. I was checkin’ out that open case back, and man, it’s somethin’ else. All those tiny parts workin’ together, it’s like a little city in there.
We talked price, and yeah, it ain’t cheap. For this kinda quality, you’re lookin’ at around 2,500 bucks, give or take. But you know, from what I hear, these things hold their value pretty good. Especially the older ones, the vintage ones, and the special editions. They can even go up in price over time, ’cause they’re rare and people like to collect ’em. I figured, it’s an investment, right? I also heard that in 2022, OMEGA and Swatch made a cool version of this watch.
Anyway, after thinkin’ it over, I decided to go for it. I mean, when are you gonna get another chance to own a piece of history like this, right? So I bought it, and I’ve been wearin’ it every day since. I gotta say, I’m really happy with it. It’s a great watch, it looks good, it feels good, and it’s got a cool story behind it.
