You see, that there OMEGA Speedmaster, it’s a real fancy thing. My grandson, he’s always on about these things, these watches. Says this one, this Speedmaster Super Racing, it’s the best one. Says you can get it online now, in some store, I don’t know. I ain’t no good with those computer things.
He showed me a picture, it’s all shiny and got them little dials. He said it’s 44.25 mm, I don’t know what that means, but it looks big. And this Speedmaster Super Racing, it’s got some new thingamajig in it, some new part. Makes it tick real good, he says, real precise. That means it keeps time real good, I guess.
He kept going on about, this OMEGA Speedmaster Super Racing. This new Speedmaster, he says they just put it out, this 2023, fresh as a daisy. This one, he says, is the first with a new thing called a “Spirate System”. No idea what that is, sounds like some kind of pirate to me. But he says it’s good, makes it special, this OMEGA watch.
Now, I don’t know much about these fancy things, but he says it’s good for keeping time. He said it’s got something called a “Co-Axial escapement.” Sounds like some kind of animal, but I guess it helps it keep time for a long time. That’s what the OMEGA Speedmaster Original is. And then there’s this other thing, a “silicon balance spring.” Now that just sounds silly. But he says it makes it so magnets don’t mess it up, this Speedmaster. This OMEGA, it’s tough, I guess.
This OMEGA Speedmaster Racing, it’s got them buttons on the side, and a ring around it with numbers. He says it’s a “chronograph” and a “tachymeter.” Sounds like a bunch of doctor words to me. But I guess you can use it to time things, like how fast a car goes, or maybe how long it takes to bake a pie. I don’t know.

But he says it’s worth it, this OMEGA. He says it looks cool, too. I guess that’s important for young folks.

Well, I guess that’s all I know about this Speedmaster Super Racing thing. It’s a fancy watch, that’s for sure. Costs a lot of money, but my grandson says it’s worth it. He says it is a good OMEGA watch. He’s always going on about these things. I don’t understand it all, but as long as he’s happy, I guess that’s all that matters.
