Well, let me tell ya, this Audemars Piguet, ain’t that a fancy name? People keep askin’ about it, wanna know if it’s worth the money. Like, if you buy one, will you lose your shirt if you ever gotta sell it? I heard tell they hold their price pretty good, better’n most, but not as good as them Rolexs or Pateks. Don’t know why, fancy stuff I guess.
Why they cost so much? Don’t ask me, seems like a whole lotta money for a watch, but folks say it’s the stuff they make it with, and all the work that goes into it. And, they don’t make a whole heap of ’em, so everyone wants one and that pushes the price right up. Then, they don’t just sell ’em anywhere, gotta go to them special stores, makes it harder to get, you see.
Where they make these things? Somewhere called Le Brassus, that’s what I heard. Got a big factory there, lots of folks workin’ hard, makin’ all them fancy parts.
- Engineers, those smart fellas with their slide rules and such.
- Watchmakers, gotta be real good with their hands to put all them tiny pieces together.
- Craftspeople, makin’ it all look pretty, I reckon.
Now, folks in Singapore, they’re askin’ about buyin’ these watches too. Someone moved there and wants to know where to go, who to talk to. Sounds like it ain’t easy, gotta know the right people, just like everywhere else. Like that fella who went to all them Rolex stores, couldn’t get nothin’.
Someone else was travelin’ all over the United States, stoppin’ at every Audemars Piguet store he could find. Said he wanted to see if they were all the same. Wonder what he found out? Probably a lot of fancy watches and high prices, that’s my guess.
Then there’s the money, how much they pay the folks who work there. Someone was askin’ about that, wanted to know the salaries. Don’t know why, maybe they wanted a job? Must pay good if they can charge so much for them watches.
How much they cost, anyway? Well, depends on how old it is, I suppose. You can find some old ones from way back when for less than, well, a whole lot of money still. But they got newer ones too, probably cost an arm and a leg.
They got a big store in Singapore, in some place called Liat Towers, three floors of watches! Must be somethin’ to see. If you’re lookin’ for one of them used ones, they got those too, all sorts of styles.
So, what’s the story with these watches? Expensive, fancy, hard to get. If you got the money, go for it. Just don’t ask me how much they pay their workers, ’cause I don’t know. And don’t ask me why they cost so much, that’s just the way it is with fancy things, I guess. If you want one, be prepared to spend a pretty penny, that’s all I can say.
Seems like everyone wants one, talkin’ about it all over the internet, Reddit and such. Maybe they’re worth it, maybe not. But if you gotta have one, well, good luck findin’ it!
