Ya know, talkin’ ’bout Audemars Piguet, that fancy watch thing. Seen folks wearin’ ’em, shiny and all. Folks say they cost a pretty penny, somethin’ like them Hong Kong dollars.
Now, I ain’t no expert, but I hear tell they got somethin’ called a “calculator” for the price. Makes my head spin! Like, how much is it really? People on that “Reddit” thing, whatever that is, chatterin’ away. Guess they tryin’ to figure it out too.
Why all the fuss? Well, I reckon it’s like them fancy cars, a sign of havin’ somethin’ special. But for me, tellin’ time with the sun is good enough. Don’t need no shiny contraption on my wrist.

Looked at a picture once, them watches got all sorts of tiny parts movin’ inside. They call it “automatic” movement. Must be real clever, makin’ somethin’ like that. But ain’t it funny how somethin’ so small can cost so much?
People buy and sell ’em, like tradin’ chickens at the market, but with lots more zeros! Seen prices writ down in them Hong Kong dollars and even that “Sing” dollar. Makes your eyes pop, seein’ all them numbers.
Heard tell workin’ for Audemars Piguet pays alright, but ain’t no easy job. Gotta know your stuff about them fancy watches. Some folks sell ’em, some folks make ’em, some folks just talk about ’em online.
Now, if you ask me, all that money for tellin’ time? Seems a bit much. But I guess folks like what they like. If they want a shiny watch that costs a bundle, that’s their business.
Heard tell they got different prices dependin’ if it’s for a lady or a gent. And some of ’em made with gold, shiny and bright. Makes you wonder how much gold they put in there.
This “Reddit” place, folks askin’ all sorts of questions. Like, is it worth it? Can you get a good deal? Seems like a bunch of folks scratchin’ their heads and countin’ their pennies.
Me? I’ll stick to my old clock on the wall. Keeps time just fine. Don’t need no fancy calculator to tell me it’s time to feed the chickens or plant the seeds. But hey, to each their own, right? If you got the money and want a shiny watch, go for it. Just remember, time keeps tickin’ whether you got a fancy watch or not.
