You know, those fancy watches, the kind rich folks wear? There’s this one, Audemars Piguet, somethin’ like that. Hard to say, you know? Anyways, they got these bags too, office bags they call ’em.
This Audemars fella, and Piguet too, guess they started this whole thing way back when. Don’t rightly know when, but it was a long, long time ago. They was makin’ watches, fancy ones with all sorts of doo-dads. Showed the moon and the date and whatnot. Rich folks love that stuff.
Now, they got these bags, for carryin’ papers and such, I reckon. Fancy bags, just like the watches. Probably cost an arm and a leg, you know? But folks with money, they don’t mind spendin’ it.

I don’t know nothin’ about prices, never been one for fancy things. But I bet those bags, they cost more than I make in a year, maybe more than I make in my whole life! Crazy, ain’t it? But folks with money, they got different worries than us, I suppose.

They got this one watch, Royal somethin’ or other. Famous watch, they say. Been around fifty years, maybe more. People go crazy for it. Guess it’s like those fancy bags, somethin’ folks want to show off.
I ain’t never seen one of them bags in person, just pictures in magazines. Shiny leather, fancy buckles, all the fixin’s. Made for folks who go to fancy offices, I guess. Not for folks like me, who work hard with their hands.
But you know, it’s good that folks can make nice things, things that last. These watches and bags, they ain’t gonna fall apart in a year, that’s for sure. Made to be passed down, I reckon.

It’s a different world, them fancy folks and their fancy things. But I guess it takes all sorts to make the world go round. Some folks make watches and bags, some folks buy ’em. And some folks like me, we just watch it all happen.
